Dimraeth Character Creation

Direct answerTo create a Dimraeth character you choose 1 of 8 races and 1 of 6 classes — together that's your Archetype (one of 48, each with its own skill tree) — then you start with your race/class spells and build toward a 5-slot loadout.
The decision framework
- Pick your race — its traits shape how you play.
- Pick your class — its combat role and skill tree define your style.
- Combine them into your Archetype — 8 × 6 = 48 unique pairings.
- Choose your first spell loadout from your race/class spells.
- Plan to add crafted spellbooks later, gated by attributes.
Where you start (current Early Access world)
The current EA build's starter region runs The Lost Caverns → Earlwood Village → Wildwood Forest. You begin there and build out from the core loop: explore, fight, gather, build, level up, group up.
Race vs. class: what to prioritize
There's no verified “best” race or class before launch. Because every Archetype has a unique skill tree, the pairing matters more than either half alone — pick the race whose traits fit your preferred class fantasy, and check the Archetype and Builds guides for how they combine.
Race first vs. class first
| Start with | Best when | Then |
| Race | Traits or racial spells are your priority | Compare the resulting Archetype and its skill-tree layer |
| Class | You already know the combat identity you want | Choose a complementary race, then check Builds and Spells |
Attributes gate your spells
Crafted universal spellbooks require you to meet each spell's attribute requirements. Keep attributes in mind from creation — they'll decide which spellbooks you can actually use later.
