Relationships in Co-op

Direct answerIn co-op, relationship progress is yours alone — but tied to the world. Each player holds their own meters with every NPC, and those meters live in the world where they were earned.
Per-player meters
- Every player keeps their own relationship meters with each NPC (community-documented).
- Lead relay: “each player can romance each NPC with their own relationship meter.”
- Your friends' dialogue does not move your bonds — progress is independent.
World-tied progress
- Relationships, recruited allies and facilities stay with the world that holds them.
- Want to romance an ally in your own save? Run a private session in your own world.
- Joining a friend's world does not copy your home-world bonds into theirs.
How group conversations work
| Step | What happens | Source |
| 1 | Each player picks a reply and gets that reply's meter change | Community database |
| 2 | The NPC answers one vote picked at random | Community database |
| 3 | A reply counts once per question — first answer only | Community database |
Why your heart pick may not land
With several players voting, the answered reply is random among the picks. If a specific heart answer matters to you, run that conversation solo — you earn the meter change either way, but the heard line is rolled.
Frequently Asked Questions

No — per-player meters do not affect each other; the NPC just answers one random vote.
Your meters are your own; titles reflect your own Opinion, Friendship, Romance and Alignment.
