How Relationships Work

Direct answerEvery talkable person keeps four numbers about you: Opinion, Friendship, Romance and Value Alignment. Dialogue replies move them, and each reply counts only the first time you answer that question.
The four relationship numbers
- Opinion — gates which relationship titles you can reach.
- Friendship — the friend-track meter.
- Romance — the romance-track meter.
- Value Alignment — how well your values match the NPC's.
| System | Detail | Source |
| Meters | Opinion, Friendship, Romance, Value Alignment | Community database |
| Reply rule | A reply counts once per question — first answer only | Community database |
| Opinion levels | 1 to 4 at 25 / 50 / 75 thresholds | Community database |
| Title gating | Opinion level must reach the row's requirement | Community database |
Why replies count once
Numbers change only the first time you answer each question. Replaying the same conversation later does not re-add meter — new conversation threads after story milestones are where new growth comes from.
The three inputs that deepen bonds
- Talking — heart-marked options steer the Romance meter.
- Personal quests — each bond unfolds through its own questline.
- Facilities — investing materials in the ally's Sanctum facility expands their services.
Where this data comes from
Meter names and thresholds are documented by the community database wiki from the Early Access build (0.107.7822). Treat exact numbers as Community Reported until first-party confirmation.
